Introducing the new trolling motor design for the Old Town Sportsman Kayak! This design features a lightweight 3D printed mount that allows a 24 lb thrust Watersnake Trolling motor to be placed where the pedal drive normally goes. 
The mount is 3D printed using ASA filament which is heat and UV resistant. This gives it lasting durability in all toes of conditions. The hinges and nuts/bolts used are stainless steel and may be used in saltwater. 
To install, simply slide the mount with the motor forward into place, then insert the hinged plate behind it and lock into place using the Old Town twist lock mechanism.
The motor is a 12V 24 lb thrust Watersnake trolling motor which has been shortened to 20 inches total length for compact storage. It comes with one propeller and a propeller tightening tool. 
The motor propels the sportsman at approximately 3.5-4 mph depending on weight, wind and current.
